Scouting for Food

Scouting for Food is an ongoing annual program of the Boy Scouts of America, begun in 1985 by the Greater Saint Louis Area Council. The program involves collecting for local food banks. It is organized at the local level throughout the country.
Our Troop140 scouts often join with local Cub Scouts to walk, jog, and run door to door through their assigned neighborhood asking people if they had any canned goods or dry goods that they could donate to the needy in Oregon City.

With the large number of participants, the work gets completed quickly.  Thank you to all that donated food.  Your generous donations will go to families in Oregon City.

Fun tradition: Before turning in the food, each scout takes a guess at the total weigh we have collected.
